Heavy Duty 40mm Squares

HDPE / UV Treated

40mm Heavy Duty Mesh

Our 40mm Mesh is our standard netting hole size. The 40mm Squares are suitable for containing most tools and goods, whilst being very durable and hard wearing. This mesh is UV Treated for continued outdoor usage and has been tried and tested as a hard working net for many years.

Ply refers to the thickness (or grade) of the netting.

36 ply (2mm Diameter)

Suitable for most load cover applications (Private or commercial).

36ply 40mm

Once you have settled on the correct mesh material and size, you will now have to consider what thickness of material you should opt for. The higher the ply, the thicker the material will be. A “36ply” net would comprise of 36 strands of HDPE twisted together to make a 2mm thick netting. A “48ply” would comprise 48 strands of HDPE twisted together to make a 2.5mm thick netting and so on. The thickness (weight) of each of the 48 individual strands must also be considered. Cheaper nets on the market will claim to be 48ply, but each of the 48 strands are well below the weight (Denier) of the more quality nets on the market such as Quatra Netting.

In determining your required PLY, you should take into consideration the volume of use (commercial or residential).

Our 36ply material is 2mm thick with 40mm squares is most commonly used for residential applications and

Edge Treatment

Please select your edge treatment. This will be applied to all sides.

Rope

A 6mm rope will be overlock stitched to all sides of the net, creating a simple & durable attachment point.

Rope Edging

The most simple yet effective edging we offer is our Rope Edging. Using a Heavy Duty industrial sewing machine, a 6mm Black Rope will be overlock stitched onto the perimeter of the netting. This provides a strong attachment point and ensures the net structure remains in place and prevents fraying.

PVC Webbing with Eyelets

A hard wearing PVC tape approx 40mm in width.

PVC Webbing with Eyelets

Our PVC webbing tape is 80mm wide, which when folded around the edge of the netting, creates an effective 40mm Border. Available in Black only, the PVC material has been UV treated for continued use outdoors.

We use a twin needle sewing machine to stitch a double layer of thread to secure the netting to the PVC.

Stainless Steel SP6 eyelets can be inserted at either 30cm or 1m intervals approximately.

Bungee Rope Option

Bungee Rope

An elastic bungee cord supplied to facilitate attachment to existing vehicle anchor points.

Bungee Rope

Bungee rope is an elasticated rope that can be used to attach the netting to pre-existing fixing points on your tray or trailer. The Bungee Rope is woven in and out of the perimeter of the netting (or eyelets) and then pulled outward towards the fixing points.

Bungee Rope + 12 Hooks

An elastic bungee cord supplied to facilitate attachment to existing vehicle anchor points utilising 12 heavy duty plastic hooks.

Bungee Cord with Hooks

Bungee rope is an elasticated rope that can be used to attach the netting to pre-existing fixing points on your tray or trailer. The Bungee Rope is woven in and out of the perimeter of the netting (or eyelets) and then pulled outward towards the fixing points.

This option also INCLUDES 12 Heavy Duty plastic attachment hooks.
